Ohio State selects NCR for venue management solution at Ohio Stadium

Innovative NCR software to enhance operational efficiency with real-time reporting at stadium

DULUTH, Ga., Sept. 14, 2015 – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, announced today that it has successfully deployed the NCR Venue Management solution at Ohio Stadium, home of college football’s defending National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes. The suite of NCR venue management software and hardware will enhance the in-stadium game day experience for the team’s fans and will be operated by Levy Restaurants.

NCR’s reputation, commitment and experience in venue management played a significant role in the project. At the core is NCR Venue Manager, an advanced point-of-sale (POS) and reporting system that is deployed in more than 250 stadiums and arenas globally. NCR Venue Manager has been selected to help Levy Restaurants streamline operations, deliver an unparalleled level of service and bring a world-class experience to the Horseshoe. NCR Venue Manager will provide Ohio State and its food service providers with instantaneous sales, inventory and labor information from the 600 POS devices in use across the stadium, enabling the team to accurately report, analyze and forecast key performance metrics.

“Buckeye fans expect the stadium experience to be world-class. Increasing our point of sale presence across the stadium will help us serve fans more quickly so they can get back to the game and will allow our team to enhance efficiency and reporting,” said Molly Kurth, Director of Operations, Levy Restaurants.

In a move to drive a better fan experience at the stadium, the Buckeyes partnered with NCR to provide a host of venue management solutions that will reduce lines and enable employees to better serve fans at all the restaurants, in-seat and portable locations and concession stands.

“The NCR system puts The Horseshoe at the forefront of venue technology by providing amazing flexibility, control and connectivity,” said Dennis Davidson, vice president, Travel and Entertainment at NCR. “Easy-to-use, reliable technology that increases the speed of service is crucial for event venues, like Ohio Stadium, that are focused on providing the best fan experience. Our solutions will help the Buckeyes continue their reputation as one of college football’s most beloved teams.”
